| Welcome to Mar Risk Services Founded in May 2000, Mar Risk Services (MarRS) is an independent Lloyd’s insurance broker, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, working both in the London and Overseas markets, where we have forged valuable relationships in the fields of Marine Insurance and Reinsurance. Clive Freeman started MarRS with the vision to utilise his 40 year experience in the London Market. His knowledge and expertise has been gained from the full range of small, medium and multinational broking houses, which have included Aon and Willis. To compliment this experience the MarRS team has young professionals with qualifications in Insurance, Risk Management and Law. This enables us to adapt to the ever changing insurance and risk management requirements. We have continued to increase the level of experience by appointing as non-executive directors: John Eagle ex Managing Director of Marsh Marine & Energy, London. Andrew Barker ex head of Pandi at Navigators and had been senior underwriter at the West of England for 15 years. The ethos of MarRS is to approach the market with more ‘ability than muscle’ as well as ensuring maintenance of a personal service tailored to the client’s needs. Located in the City of London near to Lloyd’s, we operate predominantly as Wholesale Brokers, offering clients up-to-the-minute insurance advice and access to the pre-eminent insurance providers. The majority of our business is placed in London, using Lloyd’s syndicates and Insurance Companies. Over the last few years we have developed close connections in the Greek market and also have clients in a variety of other worldwide markets, including the U.K. Middle East, Cyprus, Mexico, South America, USA, Norway, Libya, Holland, Nigeria, Turkey and Indian Sub-continent. We work both with Producing Brokers and directly with Assureds. The majority of the MarRS business is Marine; in today’s sometimes reactive financial and political climate we are also able to offer insurance coverage for Terrorism, Trade Credit and Political Risks. In the past we have successfully diversified into Liability and Terrorism, specifically covering the Greek Olympic Games was placed in the London Market. |
